Personal Narrative:
I have over 13 years of expertise in designing sustainable, wholistic buildings. This has allowed me to develop a substantial library of materials, systems, and design strategies. Having designed many projects using the LEEDT guidelines from the time they first came out, including the Gold Certified Microsoft School of the Future located in Philadelphia, PA, I have demonstrated through real project experience, that cost effective and sustainable solutions can be implemented quickly while obtaining LEEDT Silver or better certification within a reasonable budget. Fundamental sustainable design strategies such as proper building orientation, good
daylighting design, superior building envelope design, and high efficiency
mechanical and lighting design are just some of the things critical to wholistic design. Integrated strategies such as these are the cornerstones of any successful LEEDT or sustainable design project that I try to relate to the LEED standards during the workshop to give attendees practical expertise to take away.
